Senior Clean Room Technician

Based: Welwyn Garden City – our manufacturing subsidiary

Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 based on experience

You will need to rapidly get up  to speed assembling our new DBS neurostimulator and existing bladder control product.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in all stages of medical device manufacture:
    • Responsible for building medical devices, testing and process control activities.
    • Device diagnostics and repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed supplies.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials.
  • Accurately complete medical device history records to ensure that the assembly of high quality medical devices is properly documented.
  • Provide support for all aspects of cleanroom production, including packaging, labelling, and preparing clean materials.

  • Detail orientated.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Self-motivated and excellent time management.
  • Follow written instructions with care, record activities accurately and neatly, inform the production planning if allocated tasks are not complete and adhere to good GMP and housekeeping.

Key Skills

  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
  • To have good close vision, good eye-hand coordination, accuracy and fine dexterity skills to work with small items at close range.
  • Able to work with small items and small hand tools.
  • Experienced in soldering.
  • Experience of silicone moulding an advantage.

Senior Production Engineer / General Manager designate

Based: Welwyn Garden City – our manufacturing subsidiary

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 based on experience and trial period

This is a challenging position! After a suitable transition period, the role will  lead to running the day to day operations of our small but rapidly growing medical device production facility.

Primary responsibilities

  • General and production management: Managing and leading the manufacturing group.
  • Hands on production and quality engineering: Communicating to, and training of all employees.
  • Managing products and processes within a quality management system. To include verification and validation of clean-room processes, packaging, sterilisation, tooling and maintenance.
  • Quality: Supported by the quality team, maintaining the scope of the ISO 13485 quality management system to include management, design and development, manufacturing, service and distribution of medical devices.
  • Technical: Contributing to and maintaining technical dossiers for CE marking purposes supported by the regulatory affairs team.
  • Updating and defining mechanical and electrical engineering requirements.

Secondary responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Direct support of clinicians and patients.

Personal qualities

  • Ability to prioritise, coordinate resources, problem solve, make decisions, directing training and communicating to the team,
  • Keep current with the changing regulatory and quality system requirements.
